Welcome to 3G - I hope you have all had a fabulous summer break and you are ready for the new school year. We have a lot of fun things to cover and learn this year. This term we will be looking at sustainability and plants - which will mean a lot of outdoor learning! In reading and writing we will be using the novel James and the Giant Peach written by Roald Dahl.
PE and outdoor learning
P.E. ALL children MUST come to school in their kit (white T-Shirt and black shorts/leggings or joggers.) Children with long hair are expected to have it tied back and NO jewellery to be worn.
PE will be every Tuesday and Wednesday - please make sure your child attends school already in their PE kit both days.
Outdoor learning - please make sure your child has a change of shoes/welly boots in school for any outdoor learning we partake in.
Please remember the value we place on reading and have amended the plans for home reading books. I ask that all children read at least three times a week and that a parent or carer signs the childrens reading diary. We will be collecting golden tokens each time your child reads at home they will recieve a point. The class with the most points every week recieve a trophy, the class with the most points each half term will be given a book of their choice for their class library. Finally the class with the most points at the end of the year will be rewarded with a class treat - which I know we will all want to win!
I ask that all parents have seesaw connected for this school year, I use seesaw to pass on important messages, share class updates, I also share photos of the children and showcase their amazing work!
Please keep an eye on the class page - as I will be showcasing what we are upto and celebrating good work. Any worries or concerns please conact me on seesaw.
