Welcome to 4H - Mr Hemmerman's Class
Welcome to 4H
Due to the current lockdown, children are now working remotely on teams, seesaw, paper and some children are in school. A weekly timetable will be sent out to pupils and parents. Live lessons are happening and work is set daily for the children to complete. 4H have been incredibly impressive and I am so amazed by the effort – and extra efforts – that all of the children are making. Mrs Bowers and I can’t wait to see everyone together!
PE and outdoor learning for those children still in school
P.E. ALL children MUST come to school in their kit (white T-Shirt and black shorts/leggings or joggers.) Children with long hair are expected to have it tied back and NO jewellery to be worn.
PE will be on a Wednesday, when the lockdown lifts.
Forest School/Outdoor learning – When the lockdown lifts, this will continue on Monday mornings. Please make sure your child has a change of shoes/welly boots and trousers in school for any outdoor learning we partake in.
Please remember the value we place on reading. We still expect the children to read at home and this should be for 20 minutes, every day, though more is encouraged! Books will be changed on a Tuesday and Friday. The books that are returned are put away for 3 days to ensure we are not passing any opportunity for Covid to be transferred. As the Reading Reward Cards are not coming home, please feel free to message us via Seesaw and advise us of reading done at home so that we can add the reward stamps onto their Reading Reward Cards.
This term our Topic work is learning about Buildings Around the World and in Science we will look at States of Matter and Living Things and Their Habitats
The children will continue learn to play a range of music genres on the glockenspiels, taught by the Hull Music Service.
If your child has to stay home due to parents or themselves displaying symptoms children need to stay home until a negative test result. If a positive test result children must stay home and self isolate for 2 weeks. If a negative result comes through we must see evidence of this at the office so we can allow your child back in the building. If your child is learning online, the daily work should be completed and sent back on the same day as sending please! If your child has a paper pack, we have indicated the how much work should be done each day with cover page, try to keep your child in a routine and allow time for breaks and fresh air.
If you have any worries or concerns please contact myself or Mrs Bowers on SeeSaw or via Teams.
